Camryn's Firsts for the Past Few Weeks:
First game to play with Daddy. This is not the first time they've played this game, but this seems to be the first game she knows -- she's a rocket ship and she loves it. It cracks me up too.
First time to do charity. Last Saturday Grandma Linda, Camryn and I participated in the Sprint for Life 5K in memory of Amy Spurgeon. We had a great time seeing everyone!
After the walk, Camryn had water in a bottle for the first time!
After the Sprint for Life we stopped by to see Grandma Lo. It was a nice visit.
First Mother's Day! (OK, so this is my first, but it was a big deal! Kevin and Camryn sent me flowers at work on Friday - so sweet - we had both our families over on Sunday and Kevin cooked lunch.)
First time to go swimming. I posted a picture of her first bikini a few weeks ago and on Mother's Day afternoon we put Camryn in the inflatable pool for the first time. She seemed to really love it and didn't mind that it was a little chilly. We brought her toys out from the bath tub and she played and played!
First time to eat veggies. Last Sunday we started on veggies and carrots were the first to try. She took the first bite...very thoughtfully. Not sure she's really crazy about carrots because after each bite her mouth gets smaller and smaller, which is pretty funny but hard to feed her with! After a few days on carrots we tried green beans - she seems to like these much better. This is fun!
First time to get picked up from school by Grandma Linda. She said that Camryn seemed a little puzzled that she was there, but then gave her a big smile. That was a big help this week because Kevin and I both had a hectic schedule that day. That was also Camryn's first time to meet George and the horses. Can't wait to get some pictures of their next meeting!
First high chair! We have been feeding Camryn in her big girl chair (aka, the Bumbo) but it has started to become very obvious that we need a high chair. So, Kevin picked out a chair on Thursday (Happy 6 Month Birthday CC!) and that evening she tried it out for the time -- she looks happy, huh?
Other:
- First Boo-boo at school (bumped her head on a toy train)
- Able to roll over from back to belly (has been able to roll from belly to back)
- Able to sit independently - but prefers to stand - wants to be mobile so badly!
- Holds her arms up to get picked up now
- Pulls herself to standing using our hands
- When sitting, she'll twist or fall forward to get in a crawl position - just no crawling yet!
- Able to take steps when supported
- Learning to throw fits (uh-oh). Mostly over bottles not being delivered fast enough, being left on her belly (even though she can roll over herself) and wanting to be on the move
And now, for the funny picture of the week:
Camryn has a Boppy Activity Mat which she loves - it has the toys that dangle above and one of them is a lady bug (Kevin calls it a turtle, but it's a lady bug). One of Camryn's favorite things to do is chew on the little feet - so we see a lot of this. Cracks me up!One other note - my Great-Aunt Louise passed away yesterday after being ill for a long time. Please keep my Grandma Lo in your thoughts - she was her twin sister and they were very close. This will be a hard time for her, as she has not been well either. We can find peace in knowing that she is no longer in pain and has been reunited with loved ones gone before.
More in a few weeks!

I am sorry about your great-aunt. That is sad!
On a happier note, Camryn looks so precious in her swim suit. I also love the one of her eating veggies...
