July 4th Parade and Firetrucks

To celebrate the Fourth of July, Camryn's school had a July 4th Parade and she wore a pretty red, white and blue dress that her Granny gave her. I had to go to work early that morning (they had to postpone the parade to after the holiday because of rain/mosquitos), so I didn't get to see her dressed up. Being the great husband and father that he is, Kevin had her pose for some pictures (I especially like the extreme close-up at the end):

On the actual holiday, we had a good day. We went to Darla's house and played in the pool and had lunch with the family. It was great to have all of the babies together - Christmas is going to be crazy!!! Camryn was a little out of sorts because she skipped her normal nap time (and we are all about schedules in this house!) and instead took a very late nap - until about 6:30. The good part of this was that she was able to stay up VERY late and go see the fireworks! Although, she kept thinking we were saying firetrucks (so she would make the firetruck siren sound (woo-woo-woo) every time we would talk about the fireworks starting soon). We met Brian, Kay and Bryleigh at a nearby school parking lot and set up camp there (been a long time since I've sat in a fold up chair in the back of a pick-up truck!). Camryn enjoyed the "firetrucks" and was very sleepy by the time we headed home.
