Nana Darla's Fried Chicken

Every Christmas Eve, we go to Darla's house for the best home cooking -- fried chicken! It's a great tradition and one that we all enjoy. This year was a little different than in years past -- mostly because there were 8 children! (in recent years, my 25 year old brother Rich might have been considered one of the youngest in attendance).

We had a great dinner, a good game of White Elephant and a gift exchange. Camryn was feeling a little under the weather (a few days before Christmas Eve she developed a runny nose and cough, poor baby) and also had not napped very well so she was also super tired. But, even with that she was still happy for the most part.

Next year, I want to try to take a picture of all of the kids together -- it was hard enough just keeping up with Camryn and I didn't want her to get too close to any of the other babies because she wasn't feeling well.

We did get some pictures of Camryn (in her little Santa suit) playing Darla's mini piano: (in the second picture you can see her hair is finally getting longer and looks like it might have some curl to it)

Merry Christmas!
